My work may be fiction, but it’s meticulously researched historical fiction. The stranger something is, the more likely it is to be based on fact.
I kept track of most of my sources and inspirations but by no means all. I wrote the Lazare Family Saga over nearly three decades. Some sources have slipped through the cracks.
You’ll find my sources grouped roughly below, although there is a great deal of overlap between the novels. For example, a source I list only for Book 1 may have been useful throughout the series.
For my most invaluable sources and for commentary, please refer to the Author’s Note at the end of each of my novels.
